Adopting the ways of Green living is the need of the hour. Though it’s believed that green living requires more spending and less saving but it’s not true under all circumstances. The organic stuff like vegetables, clothes and other products are expensive than the common things. But here are a number of other inexpensive ways of going green.
• Energy saving: Save the energy by replacing the incandescent bulbs with the CFL ones. These bulbs are available in every corner and don’t cost much these days. Even if they cost a little more than the ordinary ones then also these save a lot of money otherwise spent on the electricity bills. The CFL bulbs are energy efficient and cut down the cost of the electricity to a great extent.
• Use buckets: Always try to use buckets instead of shower to take bath. This will save lot of water. The water level is going down every day because of its uneven use. Also this will save money in the long run. Some models with lower flow consume less water. Saving the water is the most important thing because otherwise it will extinct from the earth.
• Installation of toilets with low flow: It’s true that these are expensive but they have the great capacity of paying back. These toilets use less water in each flush. The yearly savings are much more as compared to the price of these toilets.
• Sink faucets: The sink faucets with the new lower flow technology must be installed. These also save money and water and contribute a great deal towards green living.
• Insulated attic: The insulated attic remains heated during the winter and cooler during summers. So this tends to save meaningful money on cooling and heating bills. Also it’s not very expensive to get an insulated attic.
By adopting these rewarding measures in the routine life one can save a lot of money in addition to going green.
